TURNER, Maine – Authorities have released the identity of the woman killed in a devastating head-on collision on Auburn Road (Route 4) in Turner Tuesday morning.
The Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that 28-year-old Jacqueline Langevin of Auburn was pronounced dead at the scene after her vehicle collided with a FedEx delivery truck shortly before 10 a.m.
Details of the Crash
The crash occurred at approximately 9:56 a.m. on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, near SR1 Recreation. Deputies said Langevin was driving a 2005 Volvo station wagon when, for reasons still under investigation, she crossed the centerline and struck the FedEx truck head-on.
The truck, operated by 37-year-old Cory Parent of Auburn, sustained heavy damage. Parent suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Central Maine Medical Center (CMMC) for evaluation.
Emergency Response and Road Closure
Responders from the Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Office and Turner Fire & Rescue rushed to the scene. Despite their efforts, Langevin could not be saved. Auburn Road remained closed for approximately 4 ½ hours as investigators and crash reconstruction teams examined the scene and cleared the roadway.
Investigation Continues
The Maine State Police Commercial Enforcement Unit is assisting the Sheriff’s Office with the investigation, focusing on the circumstances that caused Langevin’s vehicle to veer into the oncoming lane. Authorities said no additional details are available at this time.

News of Langevin’s death has left the Auburn and Turner communities in shock. At just 28 years old, her life was cut short in a tragic accident that highlights the dangers of rural Maine highways, where head-on collisions often prove fatal.
The crash remains under investigation.
