Windsor Police Intensify Search for Missing Man David Pavao, 37

WINDSOR, Ontario — The community of Windsor and surrounding Essex County is anxiously waiting for answers as the search continues for 37-year-old David Pavao, who has been missing since August 13, 2025.

Pavao’s disappearance has shaken his family and friends, who describe him as a much-loved son, brother, and friend. For weeks, they have held on to hope as police and volunteers expand the search effort.

The Windsor Police Service confirmed this week that a 41-year-old woman who was also reported missing around the same time has since been safely located. However, the focus remains firmly on finding Pavao.

On Thursday morning, police officers carried out an active ground search in Kingsville, concentrating on the Road 11 and Albuna Townline area. Residents were advised to steer clear of the area while law enforcement carried out their work.

“There is no threat to public safety at this time,” Windsor Police said in a statement, “but due to ongoing police activity, we are asking people to avoid the area and use alternate routes. We appreciate the community’s patience and cooperation as we continue this search.”

Family Plea

Loved ones of David Pavao are desperate for information, making emotional pleas for the public’s help. His family has described the anguish of not knowing where he is and emphasized how out of character it is for him to be gone for so long without contact.

“David is someone who cares deeply about his family and friends. We just want him home safe,” one family member shared.

Community Concern

The search has drawn significant attention across Windsor and Essex County. Neighbors, coworkers, and even strangers have joined in sharing Pavao’s photo and information across social media, hoping that someone may have seen him or knows something that can aid investigators.

Police continue to stress the importance of community involvement. “Even the smallest piece of information can help,” investigators said, encouraging residents to remain vigilant.
