WESTLAND, Mich. — A murder-suicide at the Woodland Villa Apartments late Saturday night has left a young woman and her ex-boyfriend dead, shocking the Westland community and leaving family members devastated.
According to the Westland Police Department, the tragedy unfolded around 11 p.m. in the 8000 block of N. Wayne Road. Investigators said a man called 911, admitting that he had shot his ex-girlfriend before taking his own life. When officers arrived, they found both individuals deceased at the scene. Police confirmed there is no threat to the public, but emphasized that the case remains under investigation.
