Fayetteville, NC – Police have identified the victim in Monday night’s fatal stabbing on Rosehill Road as 33-year-old Brian Carter of Fayetteville. Authorities say the tragedy unfolded during an altercation between relatives inside a home, leaving the community shocked and a family grieving.
The Incident
On Monday, August 18, 2025, at approximately 10:58 p.m., officers from the Fayetteville Police Department responded to a reported stabbing at a residence in the 4600 block of Rosehill Road.
When police arrived, they found Brian Carter inside the home suffering from a stab wound. Despite immediate life-saving efforts by paramedics, Carter was pronounced dead at the scene.
