Tragic Morehouse Parish Crash Claims Life of 47-Year-Old Christopher Johnson

 

 

BASTROP, LOUISIANA — August 2, 2025 — A tragic single-vehicle crash in Morehouse Parish has claimed the life of a local resident. Louisiana State Police Troop F is investigating the death of 47-year-old Christopher Johnson of Mer Rouge, Louisiana, following a fatal crash on Louisiana Highway 3051, just west of Thibodeaux Road.

Details of the Crash—What Happened on LA 3051

According to Louisiana State Police, the crash occurred shortly before 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Johnson was driving a 2001 Ford Crown Victoria westbound when his vehicle suddenly veered off the right side of the roadway and struck a tree. The cause of the crash remains under active investigation.

Tragically, Johnson was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the incident and suffered fatal injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
