Lindsay recalls Ross as a partner whose devotion and kindness were unmatched—a true soulmate and the rock of their family.

A Champion of Youth: His Lasting Legacy in Anoka Sports

Beyond his immediate family, Ross’s impact was profoundly felt within the community through his unwavering dedication to youth sports. For many years, he committed both his time and energy to coaching wrestling and football with the Anoka Ramsey Athletic Association. His devotion extended far beyond the athletic arena—Ross served as a mentor, role model, and a consistent source of encouragement for young athletes and their families.

Honored for Excellence: Coach of the Year 2024

In 2024, Ross’s exceptional coaching was honored when he was named one of the Association’s Coaches of the Year. This award recognized not only his skills but also his unique gift for inspiring and motivating youth while fostering teamwork and sportsmanship. Members of the Anoka Wrestling family fondly remember Ross for his commitment, patience, and the infectious positivity he brought to every practice and competition.

Ross was born to Tim and Judy Murray, who raised him with strong values of kindness, integrity, and community spirit. He shared a lifelong bond with his brothers, Rich and Lucas, and sister-in-law Molly, who remember Ross for his humor, loyalty, and generosity.
