Gerald D. Washington Identified as Victim in Late-Night Highland Neighborhood Shooting; Suspect Arrested

Shreveport, LA — The Shreveport community is mourning the loss of Gerald D. Washington, 56, who was fatally shot late Monday night in the Highland neighborhood. Authorities confirmed that Washington was discovered inside his vehicle at the intersection of Egan Street and Gilbert Avenue around 11:30 p.m. and was pronounced dead at the scene.
