Flint Shooting on Maplewood Leaves Young Woman Critically Injured

Flint, MI — Authorities are investigating a shooting that occurred friday night in the 2400 block of Maplewood, where a young woman was found critically injured after a vehicle riddled with bullet holes arrived at a local hospital.

According to initial reports, the car carrying the victim had been struck multiple times by gunfire before it pulled into the hospital. Witnesses stated that the woman, who has not yet been identified, was unresponsive and “not breathing” when she was brought inside for emergency treatment.

Emergency medical services (EMS) were initially requested at the scene, but it appears the occupants of the vehicle rushed the victim to the hospital before paramedics arrived.

Police Investigation Underway

Flint Police have not yet released official details about the shooting, including possible suspects or a motive. Detectives were seen canvassing the Maplewood area for evidence and speaking with neighbors in an effort to piece together the circumstances leading up to the gunfire.
