KILGORE, Texas — The Kilgore community is reeling in grief after the tragic Highway 31 crash that claimed the lives of four residents on Monday morning. Among those who lost their lives was David Morales Ramos, 21, a young man remembered for his warmth, generosity, and the profound impact he made on everyone who knew him.

Family and friends confirm that David was a proud graduate of Kilgore High School. Though originally from Worthington, Minnesota, David made his home in Kilgore, Texas, where he built a strong circle of friends, created lasting memories, and touched countless lives with his vibrant personality.

David’s friends describe him as someone who never failed to bring joy into a room. Kilgore ISD released a statement acknowledging the tragedy and affirming that, while none of the victims were current students, each had deep connections to families within the district. Counselors are available for students and staff in need of support.
