PEI RCMP Launch Major Investigation Following Targeted Shooting in Urbainville

URBAINVILLE, PEI — Prince Edward Island’s Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) are leading a comprehensive and high-profile investigation after a shooting incident rocked the quiet community of Urbainville on Friday, August 8, 2025.

In a detailed statement released today, the RCMP confirmed the deployment of extensive police resources to unravel the circumstances surrounding the shooting, which investigators say appears to be a targeted and isolated event with no immediate threat to the public.
