GLOUCESTER COUNTY, Va. — A Saturday morning disturbance in a quiet Gloucester County neighborhood ended in an arrest after deputies discovered gunfire had been discharged from inside a townhouse, striking windows and a vehicle outside.
Shots Reported on Jacqueline Drive
At around 9:22 a.m., the Gloucester County Sheriff’s Office received a third-party 911 call reporting what appeared to be bullet holes in the window of a townhouse in the 2300 block of Jacqueline Drive. The caller also noted that a vehicle parked outside the residence had a shattered window.
Deputies responded swiftly, speaking with neighbors and attempting to check the welfare of the occupants. Initial attempts to make contact were unsuccessful, but deputies observed evidence suggesting shots had been fired from within the residence outward toward the parking area.
Male Suspect Detained
On a second approach, deputies were met at the door by the male occupant, identified as Mr. Kevin Don Vaughn. He was detained without incident. Inside the home, deputies also located an adult female family member, who was later transported to Riverside Walter Reed Hospital for evaluation.
A search warrant was obtained for the townhouse, and investigators began processing the scene for evidence. The surrounding area was canvassed, and statements were collected from witnesses.

Based on the evidence recovered, Vaughn was arrested and transported to the Gloucester County Jail. He now faces multiple charges, including:

- 3 misdemeanor counts of reckless handling of firearms (§18.2-56.1)
- 1 felony count of property damage exceeding $1,000 (§18.2-137)
