Wilson Triple Shooting Victims Identified: Mother Natasha Latrice Sutton, 44, and Son Avantae Pender, 21, Fatally Shot; Tiffany Fogg Injured

WILSON, N.C. — A devastating act of violence on Washington Street left the Wilson community reeling Monday afternoon after a triple shooting claimed the lives of Natasha Latrice Sutton, 44, and her son, Avantae Pender, 21, and injured 37-year-old Tiffany Fogg.

The Incident

Authorities responded to the scene on Washington Street following reports of gunfire in the early afternoon. Upon arrival, police found Sutton and Pender deceased and Fogg injured. Fogg was immediately transported to Wilson Medical Center, where she is now recovering from non-life-threatening injuries.

Suspect Arrested

Wilson Police have taken Donta Maurice Chestnut, 39, into custody in connection with the shooting. Chestnut is the founder of Our Wilson, a nonprofit organization focused on youth empowerment, mentorship, and community programs.

Chestnut has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder for the deaths of Sutton and Pender, as well as one count of attempted first-degree murder for the shooting of Tiffany Fogg. Authorities have not publicly released a motive, and the investigation remains ongoing.
