According to the West Virginia State Police (WVSP), Sloan was driving her Toyota Camry when, for reasons still under investigation, her vehicle crossed the center line and collided head-on with a 2024 Chevrolet Express box truck. The crash occurred on a two-lane highway, and the impact was so severe that Sloan was pronounced dead at the scene.
