ASHEVILLE, N.C. — The Asheville community is grieving the tragic loss of 32-year-old Tamara Eldridge, who died following a head-on collision Monday afternoon in West Asheville. Her passing has left a profound impact on family, friends, and neighbors, all of whom are remembering her for her kindness and vibrant spirit.
The Incident
The fatal crash occurred on September 8, 2025, at approximately 1:02 p.m. in the 1500 block of Patton Avenue. According to the Asheville Police Department, a 2016 GMC Sierra truck driven by 35-year-old Adam Christopher Kane of Asheville was traveling westbound when it crossed the center line and collided head-on with a 2004 Lexus RX330 SUV traveling eastbound.
A 2012 Volvo S60 sedan, also traveling eastbound, rear-ended the Lexus immediately after the initial collision. Tamara Eldridge, a rear passenger in the Lexus, sustained serious injuries and was transported to Mission Hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries.
