GASTON COUNTY, N.C. — A late-night shooting in the South Gastonia area has left one person dead and another injured, according to Gaston County Police.
Authorities say the incident occurred shortly before 8:30 p.m. Friday, August 22, when officers responded to a vehicle located near Goble Street and Huffman Road. Upon arrival, they found one occupant deceased and another suffering from gunshot wounds.
Victim Transported to Hospital
The surviving victim was immediately transported to CaroMont Regional Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries, where they remain under medical care. Police have not released the names of either victim, pending family notification.
