Cordova Community Shocked as Man Found Shot to Death Inside Vehicle

 

Cordova, TN — The Shelby County community is mourning and seeking answers after a man was found fatally shot inside a car in a parking lot Friday evening, authorities confirmed. The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) is leading an ongoing investigation into the tragic incident.

The Discovery

At approximately 5:40 p.m., deputies responded to a report of a shooting in the 1900 block of Berryhill Road, near Chimneyrock Boulevard. Upon arrival, law enforcement discovered an adult male deceased inside a vehicle. Emergency medical personnel pronounced him dead at the scene.

Neighbors and witnesses expressed shock at the incident. “It’s unsettling to know something like this could happen here in our community,” said one resident. “We hope the authorities can quickly find those responsible.”
