CRAWFORD COUNTY, Mich. — A search for 22-year-old Jacob Angeles of Rockwood ended tragically Thursday night when authorities discovered his body in a wooded area of Crawford County, Michigan. Angeles had been reported missing after attending the Renaissance Festival in Holly last weekend.
Last Known Whereabouts
According to the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office, Angeles was last seen on Saturday, August 16, at the Renaissance Festival in Groveland Township, which he attended with his mother. The pair arrived in separate vehicles.
Angeles’ 2006 Jeep Commander was last spotted on camera traveling north on I-675 and I-75 Saturday afternoon. That marked the last known sighting of Angeles or his vehicle until law enforcement located his body Thursday night around 11:30 p.m.

Authorities said foul play does not appear to be a factor in Angeles’ death, though the investigation remains active. Crawford County deputies and Oakland County Sheriff’s Office personnel are working together to confirm the circumstances surrounding his passing.
