19-Year-Old Trevon L. Loston Faces Multiple Felony Charges Following Deadly Police Chase That Killed Three

MILWAUKEE — A 19-year-old repeat offender, Trevon L. Loston, is facing multiple felony charges after a police pursuit ended in a fatal crash that claimed three lives Tuesday night in Milwaukee. Authorities say the crash involved a stolen SUV and highlighted a series of dangerous decisions that ultimately led to tragedy.

Details of the Fatal Crash

Police reported that the chase began after officers attempted to stop the stolen SUV in which Loston was a passenger. The vehicle fled from law enforcement and collided with another car, resulting in the deaths of three individuals. Investigators believe that Loston may have played a larger role in the events than initially thought.

According to witness statements and court documents, Loston had been driving the stolen SUV, but switched with a female passenger just minutes before the chase began. Another passenger told police that Loston held a black Taurus 9mm handgun with a laser attachment and extended magazine, instructing the driver to “drive” and “don’t stop” while pointing the firearm at her.

After the crash, officers found Loston unconscious inside the SUV, still gripping the gun in his right hand. Investigators also recovered the key fob for the stolen vehicle in his pants pocket.

Investigation Reveals Stolen Vehicle

The SUV had been reported stolen from Elkhart, Indiana, on September 11, 2025. The vehicle’s owner told authorities that it was taken from his driveway without permission but noted that the key fob may have been left inside the car.

During police interviews, Loston reportedly told investigators that he had picked up the other passengers to buy them alcohol. He admitted to letting the female passenger take over driving after he “got tired of driving” but claimed he was “guiding” her during the chase.

Charges and Prior Offenses

Loston now faces several serious charges, including:

  • Possession of a firearm by an adjudicated delinquent
  • Bail jumping
  • Operating a vehicle without the owner’s consent

Court records indicate that Loston had recently been released on $1,000 cash bail for a previous firearm charge, with conditions prohibiting him from possessing weapons. He had also failed to appear in court on September 3, 2025, and had been discharged from JusticePoint for missing required appointments.

If convicted on all counts, Loston could face up to 19.5 years in prison.

Community Reacts

The Milwaukee community is in shock following the loss of three lives in this tragic crash. Friends and family of the victims have called for justice, while local authorities urge the public to remain vigilant about stolen vehicles and reckless behavior that endangers lives.

Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the chase and the events leading up to the crash. Authorities encourage anyone with additional information to come forward to assist in the ongoing investigation.

This story serves as a stark reminder of the potential consequences of repeated criminal behavior and the dangers posed by high-speed pursuits involving stolen vehicles and firearms.
